The foundation of the Eczacıbaşı Healthcare Division date back to 1942, when Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı began to produce D-Vital, a vitamin compound he developed in his own laboratory, and 1952, when he inaugurated Turkey’s first modern pharmaceutical plant. In 2007, with the transfer of its manufacturing facility to Zentiva, the Eczacıbaşı Healthcare Division expanded into new product and service fields.
Eczacıbaşı Pharmaceuticals Marketing Co. carries out the marketing, promotion, sales and distribution of imported and contract manufactured pharmaceuticals for mass and niche markets and health-based personal care products. Its growing portfolio currently comprises both innovative and generic products licensed by Almirall, Astellas, Baxter International, Biogaia, Chugai, Galderma, Italchimici, Procter&Gamble, Sanofi, Sigma-Tau and Tillotts Pharma, as well as its own brand of nutritional supplements.
Eczacıbaşı Pharmaceuticals Marketing has four business units namely Speciality and Primary Care, Hospital Care, Oncology-Hematology and Rare Diseases, working with regional representatives all around the country. Over 30 district managers and some 300 sales representatives visit more than 25,000 doctors,2,500 dentists and 8,000 pharmacies on a regular basis. All visits are processed daily and monitored by the sales force automation system.
